Why do people come to Church?
Most people join a church — and stay — for one or more of these five big reasons:
1. Faith in Jesus and God – Believing and seeking out the gospel is true, the want to worship God and follow Christ, and grow closer to Him with other believers.
2. Real community in a lonely world – At Palm, our church gives lifelong, in-person relationships — people who celebrate with you, cry with you, and help move you. In an age of isolation and social media, that’s rare and priceless.
3. Marriage, family, and raising kids with values – At Palm Church, it’s still the #1 place people meet their spouse or worship as a family and is the best environment to raise children who share your beliefs and morals.
4. A steady place for truth and purpose – Every week the Bible is opened and life’s biggest questions (Why am I here? What happens when I die? How should I live?) are answered with confidence in a culture that feels confusing or hostile.
5. Hope, healing, and belonging – Whether recovering from a crisis, addiction, grief, or just feeling lost, millions have found forgiveness, new starts, and a family that accepts them in church. At Palm, we strive for that sense of belonging too! It’s in our mission statement and our vision statement.
People join a church because it offers God, Jesus Christ as their savior, real relationships, and a meaningful life — all in one place — at a time when the rest of the world feels increasingly empty, divided, and temporary.
